I thought I would mention the HBO TV Show “Flight Of The Conchords” here as I just finished watching the entire first season of the show. It’s about two guys from New Zealand that are in their own band and decide to move to New York city in an attempt to make it big in the music scene in the United States. I have to admit, I happen to catch part of an episode of this when channel surfing a few months ago and I honestly didn’t get it and didn’t think it was funny so I really didn’t pay much attention to it after that.

My friend Jason Sampson (who happens to have just moved to New Zealand) shared with me a few episodes of the show before he left and I couldn’t stop laughing. I then ended up buying Season One on DVD so I could watch all the episodes in Season 1. The show starts out structured as a normal TV sitcom but within the 30 minute episodes there are 1–2 music videos where they imitate musical styles or artists themselves (such as David Bowie, Sean Paul, etc). The videos, lyrics and music are quite well done and if you pay attention closely the lyrics are particularly amusing.. This is a show I think people either will really enjoy or not like at all. Below is a clip of one of the more famous “videos” from the show titled “If Your Into It” courtesy of YouTube.

If you think the clip is funny you should check it out, here is the main site for the show:
