I have finished working on the second portrait of Aimee from the studio lighting class. The original picture of Aimee was posted with very little post processing in Photoshop. Thanks to the recent Photoshop class and a lot of practice I have learned enough to produce this image that I think is my best portrait to date:

There is so much in Photoshop that I still have to figure out but it was a lot of fun working with this picture and seeing the final result. I now have a better handle on printing from Photoshop and have a 13×19” print of this picture for my portfolio. There is something about seeing a picture in print – it just seems a lot more like real “art” than looking at it on the monitor.

I have found this entire process – from shooting the picture to the adjustments in Photoshop and the final print to be very inspiring. I have a few photographs from earlier in the year that I must revisit and get prints from. It is definitely feeling like things are beginning to sink in!
