I am finally getting around to posting my last post in my series of photographs from my trip to Europe this past winter. I was looking forward to photographing many of the famous locations around the city and I left with a much greater appreciation for them. My favorite site in Rome was by far the Pantheon. This shot of the outside of the Pantheon with a B&W treatment is my favorite of the trip._N8R3449-Edit

On my last day in the city I went to Vatican City and had a chance to walk through the Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican Museum. Here is a shot of St. Peter’s Square.

This fresco by Raphael is considered by many to be his masterpiece. It is titled “The School Of Athens” and it is believed that Raphael included nearly every great Greek philosopher in this painting. The identities of some of the subjects in the painting are still being debated today from what I was told.

I also made the trek to the top of the Vatican and the view was definitely worth the climbing all of those stairs.

I had to make two visits to the Colosseum in order to gain access to the inside of the building due to a labor strike on my first attempt. I am glad that I returned as I believe the inside of the Colosseum is even more impressive than the outside.

Rome was an amazing place to visit and I highly recommend it. This concludes the series on my trip to Europe for my Arizona State University Exec MBA program. I hope you enjoyed the pictures.
