My first trip to Shanghai, China was a business trip which had me extremely busy every day but I did get a chance to take a few pictures of the areas around my hotel which was located in Pudong. The skyline in Shanghai was impressive and reminded me a lot of Manhattan. The picture below has the two tallest buildings in Shanghai – in the foreground is the Jin Mao Tower (currently the world’s 9^th tallest highrise building) and in the background is the Shanghai World Financial Center (currently the world’s 3^rd tallest highrise building) which was finished in 2008. It is difficult to appreciate how tall these structures are in the shot below but they are truly impressive structures.
