Our  trip up to Seattle included a short ferry ride to Victoria Canada. Butchart Gardens is located in Victoria and is one of the most photographed gardens in the world. Here are a few shots from my visit.

This is my favorite picture from my visit to the gardens, really like the soft light and color.

I tried the picture above in B&W with post processing in Silver Efex Pro. In the end I like the color vesion better but it was an interesting experiment.

This was part of a larger picture that I cropped into a better composition.

In this part of the gardens there was a large field of wild flowers with a water feature in the lake behind it.

Butchart Gardens was definitely worth the stop and I highly recommend it for anyone visiting the area.
