I returned to Mill Avenue today looking for another opportunity to fulfill my photography assignment for this week. I was very fortunate to run into Tony – he is making his way from Texas to Northern California after losing his job in the construction industry in Texas. Tony was very friendly and articulate and hopes his friend in California can pull through and get him a job working with the forest service there.

Tony’s dog Rondo was a very friendly Pit Bull that really liked getting his ears scratched. He dozed off for a bit while Tony and I talked and the second I sat down to take a photograph Rondo opened his eyes. He seemed ready to fall back asleep so while he was watching me closely I captured a few images.

My brief time with Tony and Rondo was fortunate as when I walked by where I met them about an hour later they had already moved on. I hope that Tony and Rondo both make it over to California safely.
